Matt's Picks Week 2

Alright it is time to turn things around.. by now you are starting to lose interest in the election which the polls are finally closed (thank God) and now we can see infinitely less political ads for 2 years.. and by now you are starting to gain a vast interest in my games of the week, more specifically week 2.

WEDNESDAY: Allen Iverson comes to Mo-town to try his brand of quick and skilled play with the Pistons. But before going to The Palace he heads across the border to take on Chris Bosh and the Toronto Raptors. This game will really come down to how well Iverson can run the point in a new offense with all new players, and based on his start in Denver I'm going with the Raptors in a fun one to watch. 97-91 Toronto.

THURSDAY: Are you ready for some College Football with big time BCS implications?? These two teams play for the histori... wait, not the SEC? not the ACC or Big-12? Not even the BigTen?! Yeah I am talking about the Mountain West clash of No. 12 TCU Horned Frogs at No. 8 Utah. This is the game of the MWC season and whoever wins this one will almost undoubtedly take home the conference crown (The Utes still have Brigham Young on the schedule.) I'll take Utah in this one as they become this year's little school in a BCS bowl like the Hawaii of 07' or Boise State of 06' or ya know.. Utah of 04' (or even Ball State in 08' *fingers crossed*) Utah 46 TCU 38

FRIDAY: I will try one more pick upset in High School Football as this one comes more personal with the Cathedral Fighting Irish taking on the favored 6th ranked Whiteland. My friend Jake "the snake" leads a strong Irish offensive line at the center position and I am pulling for the golden-domers in this one all the way. I say they beat Whiteland at Whiteland 35-21.

SATURDAY: Big Play Saturday is back! and this time I am picking the SEC winner! My No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide are going to roll in the bayou against the Quarterback-less No. 16 LSU Tigers. Nick Saban has come too far since screwing my Dolphins 2 years ago to drop one against a team that is led by a Michigan man. Don't let me down guys. Crimson Tide 38 Tigers 35.

SUNDAY: This NFL Sunday has a few sweet match-ups such as Indy at Pittsburgh and the Giants in Philly but my game of the week is all about heart (my heart that is.) Seattle comes into Miami jet lagged and falls in the Dolphins wake as the push to the playoffs one year after going 1-15. Dolphins do it big at home and beat the Seahawks 42-17.

MONDAY: Monday Night Football pits San Francisco against Arizona, come on now, Cardinals win it 42-28.

Last week I thought I would be perfect, and I actually failed miserably.. I know week 2 I now will achieve perfection.
