Matt's First Failure (2-4)

Just a little break in the politics (which may be much needed) as we are now in election Tuesday. Over this last week I have proven to be less reliable than any given quarter, but I have my reasons

Rays lost to the Phillies 5-3 and I am grateful I have months before I can pick another baseball game.

Hornets won over the Suns and my NBA record remains undefeated (1-0)

Friday Night Lights saw my Plymouth Rockies drop one to Lowell 21-14 and although I saw no statistics or re-cap of this one I am sure it was a bullshit last second hail mary or something.

My dogs did a lot of things on Saturday but none of them were necessarily positive against the Gators at Georgia and Adam can hold that one over me for a few weeks.

Sunday I locked my biggest win of the week as what many saw as the underdog Colts beating the much despised Patriots, I am a Dolphins fan myself, so you won't see me pick New England unless there's a blue moon out.

And I just finished watching ESPN's clipped highlight reel of my last chance to go .500 for the week as the Redskins lost not only the game, but the Republicans the White House. (When Washington loses the day before the presidential election the current political party in the White House loses the election, it's been that way since 1936.. look it up.)

So what does this week one failure tell everyone? That great things, such as me, take time to get better. Like wine, I presume my picks for next week will be flawless.. either that or at least in better taste. Happy voting everyone!
