Obama Promise: Taxes

Remember back in the good old days when Obama was campaigning, wait he's campaigning for his budget now, when he was campaigning for President. No one asked any questions, everyone could just listen to him talk for hours upon hours of exactly what we wanted to hear. He's gonna do this, he's gonna do that. He's not gonna raise taxes of "any kind" for families making less than 250,000 a year. He's gonna pay for my Mortgage. Well, it looks like after, what is it now 78 days, his big promise is done. Obama has Signed a law raising the tax on cigarettes by 62 cents. Later in this article, it reads:

"Government and private research has found that smoking rates are higher among people of low income. A Gallup survey of 75,000 people last year fleshed out that conclusion. It found that 34 percent of respondents earning $6,000 to $12,000 were smokers, and the smoking rate consistently declined among people of higher income. Only 13 percent of people earning $90,000 or more were smokers."

Just another roundabout way to get money without the average person knowing. Look at the gas tax. It's these evil oil corporations, being greedy and whatnot. Think about this, oil companies mine, refine, and distribute their own oil. What does the government do in this process? And how much is the gas tax? The government makes about 30 cents off of every gallon pumped. Now people are going to blame tobacco companies. "They are just greedy fat pigs. Being all corporationy and uhh yeah big corporations." When its the government, who they should be be concerned with. Obama's promise of more change, is true. Because more "$Change$" from us, goes to the government.
