The O.C.

The Champaign bottles are empty, the hangovers have officially set in, and the romantic and euphoric honeymoon of Barack Obama and the lovers-o-koolaid is officially over…or is it? It’s history Adam, relax…but is “history” (a drama representing historical events) really “history” yet (the record of past events and times, esp. in connection with the human race.) In no way shape or form would I ever diminish the amazing feat that Barack Obama has accomplished. It’s not only a huge step forward for the African American population but for America in general. However there is a time and place for everything and I have never seen a political figure more “celebritized” than President Obama himself. Is this a good thing? To an extent, sure. Some would argue that having a celebrity President is a beautiful thing….but I would love for someone to tell me ONE celebrity that you know of that isn’t disliked, hated, or even despised by a group of people. I’m not saying that Barack Obama doesn’t deserve his spotlight, but let’s not get carried away with the camera work and fancy parties while other countries are planning a second 9/11. Even Jesus Christ himself had enemies….

The time has come…where words must be silenced and actions must be heard. I don’t give two shakes of a dogs….tail, if President Obama has SAID he can fix the economy, has SAID he can end the war, has SAID we will prosper. I want to see it happen. The media preaches patience…the time will come. Well where was the patience after 9/11? Where was the patience when gas was over 4$ a gallon. Where was the patience when Wall Street went up in flames? Call a spade a spade. Barack Obama made very clear of what is black and what is white and that the “white” was not working (figuratively speaking, not racially). The definition of our democratic government states clearly that WE the people are a government run by the people, for the people. So WE can sit back, turn on CNN, and watch President Obama continue to throw our countries finances under the bus….forward, reverse, forward, reverse and just keep running over our capital until we’ve successfully wasted money on our record low temperatures (global warming) and fancy new screen monitors in the White House…that’ll stimulate the economy right? No no, it must be the 4 bill being invested in infrastructure that wont reach the economy until 2010 that is being spent now...so that will help. OR, we can truly be a democracy. If Barack Obama is a leader for me…where was my invitation to the Inauguration? Why can’t I be there? Is it because I didn’t donate 50k like Tom Hanks, Bill Gates, or Halle Berry? Or is it because our Washington Idol is more worried about his ¼ inch haircut than he is my wallet. The fact we have a one party system is very dangerous. Not because it’s liberal or democrat based but because there is no longer a check. The congress, media, papers, magazines, and majority of the country are in the kool-aid drinking tank. They don’t have time to worry about right or wrong...they’re too busy sipping. Sure, Secretary State Hilary Clinton says “we welcome any and all debate.” Well guess what Mrs. Clinton; debate is nothing more than heated dialect. Sure opinions are exchanged but are they changed? Not likely. No matter how many soldiers, generals, or politicians told President Obama that the surge in Iraq was successful, he could not admit it. I appreciate the invite, but that’s a waste of your time, and a waste of my oxygen. It IS your job to keep this administration, as well as those who abide by it in check…otherwise no one else will.

The congrats have been extended, the door has been opened…the time has come. I do have some HOPE….While I fail to see the hope in the policies our new American Idol has put forth, I have hope that the ignorant African American role models such as Jay-Z, Ludacris, Young Jeezy, and Wyclef Jean will be silenced by the new star on Pennsylvania Ave. Maybe some day soon, a hoe will once again be recognized as a tool used in a garden, and the outrageous need for the use of the slang word “nigger” can be retired. I am hopeful that our new Hollywood star can use his fame to encourage and inspire African Americans all around the world that once idolized pants hanging off their ass and hats worn sideways to ask for tailored fitting pants and a nice polo next Christmas ;-). I sure do hope there’s some $$ in that stimulus package for Al Gore to invest in that Global Warming theory because the inch layer of ice on my windshield this morning and the record low temps this winter is a STRONG argument for the underlying MISTAKES in his “overwhelming” theory… I would offer that his plan of creating what started as 2 million jobs that has now ballooned to 4million jobs has him creating at a pace of 5 to 6 thousand jobs a day. The 3 thousand dollar tax credit per job created in this country to an employer is all but gone already. The media hammered “Joe the plumber”, an every day Joe for not being caught up on taxes as the excuse as to why wealth redistribution was acceptable when asked. A diversion of ideology. Our newly appointed Treasurer of the United States of America appointed by Barack has not paid his taxes and the press has not said a word. He is our GUY to facilitate the “TRANSPARENCY” and oversight of the massive tax and spend economic rescue package. How does a man that has screwed the government out of tax responsibility provide a transparent account of the spending? There is much more.

People say “well people aren’t afraid to spend anymore now that Bush is gone. So I pose the question, was our economy TRULY suffering?? Or was it all superficial…sure houses are collapsing (financially) and jobs are being lost which is nothing to be taken lightly but why is it that just because one man gets up from his seat and another replaces him that it’s okay to go back to our irresponsible spending!? It’s like a migraine that won’t go away but we keep injecting ourselves with the poison. I’m calling a bluff…
