TUESDAY: Mens college hoops matches the No. 19 Tenn Volunteers with the No. 23 Marquette Golden Eagles in the second annual Big East/SEC challenge.. Tennessee is on a slump after losses to ranked opponent Gonzaga and an embarrassment against Temple.. Now at a neutral site people might think the Vols would be mad and ready to prove something.. well they will be but it won't matter.. The Big East is flat out better and without home court advantage the Eagles will win a close one 87-82
WEDNESDAY: NBA Wednesday catches the experiences Spurs going into a young and talented New Orleans to take on Chris Paul and the Hornets.. this one should be a great game with fundamental defense and stylish offense.. Don't expect many unforced turnovers or big ego play from either team, but do expect the Hornets to pull out an impressive win over Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker.
THURSDAY: Indianapolis takes their 7 game win streak into Jacksonville to take on some struggling Jaguars.. I don't think this one should be much of a contest as Indy proves to be in the AFC elite yet again, and Jacksonville has a sad drop off after last year's promising season.
FRIDAY: Friday doesn't give us much to look for.. a few blowouts in the NCAA and a bunch of yawns in the NBA gives us only the Bulls going up to Boston to take on the Celtics in the Garden.. I think this one will be closer then what the experts say but this might be the best Celtic team ever, Pierce healthy or not, so you almost HAVE to go with Boston here.. right Chase? oh well.. I am going with them, Celtics win it 108-98
SATURDAY: A lot of great college basketball today but which game to pick.. hmm Davidson over Purdue? yeah that would be fun but then again there is Michigan State losing to Texas that might work.. nah here is the one.. No. 2 UConn vs. No. 7 Gonzaga in a top 10 match up that will be a statement for both teams facing their highest ranked opponent this season.. Well personally I thought the Huskies were the best team in the nation a year ago, and I don't see the Zags changing my mind again this year.. plus it's not even in Spokane but at a neutral site.. Huskies show which dog is boss
SUNDAY: I can't pick.. Carolina at the New York Giants or Pittsburgh at Tennessee? The best in each league go head to head for home field advantage throughout the playoffs.. lets pick them both! G-men should be mad after a loss to the cowboys and Tennessee should be down right pissed after losing to Houston.. but Carolina is too talented and Pittsburgh's defense is playing way too well.. I have to go with the Panthers and the Steelers today
MONDAY: Green Bay in Chicago in a game that puzzles me.. I just don't know who to pick.. you know what that means.. it's time to turn to the trusty quarter.. heads it is so the home team wins it.. congratulations Bears I will presume you put Rogers in the dirt enough times to grind out another win in Chi-town
BOWLS: So many games I won't bore you with why I pick the teams I do.. I will just simply give you the right team to pick on your game boards.. ready? lets go bowling!

First off, I'd like to say congrats to you matt for your picks of excellence, and your missing of your own family reunion. I'd of missed it too...to make good picks like you did. But to my credit, the two games I lost last week were by a combined 8 points...football and basketball...enough of my crying though, onto the picks.
Tuesday: Even though Tennessee lost to temple... i think they are gonna wring out their sweaty headbands of bad and come back in a big way. Tennessee wins 9854-3.
Wednesday: I'll also take the Isaiah Thomas of our day in Chris Paul and his Hornets.
Thursday: I've gotta go with the Colts...shhhhh they've won 7 in a row...yeah I've been watchin sportscenter...so what?
Friday: Hahaha. Well, you know how I'm a hometown guy with a hometown pride that goes beyond explaining...even though I've never actually lived IN chicago...WITH that being said, I know when there is an overwhelming mismatch in terms of talent, and if Kirk Hinrich was in the game...it'd be a different story. Even though I would not care one bit if i lost this pick...Celts by 20.
Saturday: UCONNs got more time to prep...I'm going with poop...number 2.
Sunday: Even though my heart is with Little E and his ailing Plaxico Burasses...I love Carolina in this game...Steve Smith is the man. Pitt vs. Tenn? The Steelers showed that they can win...again, and again...and again vs. Baltimore. I'm taking Big Ben and his clock.
Monday: Now, with this being football in chicago...Bears as always. They win this game and after the Vikes lose to the Falcs the day before...come into a tie for the NFC North lead.

guess I get a bye onthe game tonight..sorry fellas had to work late...
Wed. Hornets by 12
Thurs. Jacksonville has fallen off the table however it is IN Jacksonville and if the Colts overlook the Jags, they'll make them pay...but I see Indy winning by 13
Fri. As much as I hate everything about Boston...they're good. And all the trash talking that KG does and the media promotes is USUALLY backed up...don't see the Bulls putting up much of a fight. Celtics by 8.
Sat. As much as I think the Uconns will dominate this game I have to go out on a limb and say that Gonzagas D shows up ready to play and shut them down in the 4th when it matters...just to make things interesting..not a game winning half court shot like the lucky queers from Cleveland Sate or whoever beat Syracuse but a fadeaway jumper to seal the deal with a huge early season upset. Gonzaga by 2.
Sun. Tennessee has no doubt entered a cold streak as have the Giants...maybe not with wins and losses but their sloppy piss poor play. I think the Giants/Panthers game could honestly go either way. Just depends who shows up. If Eli plays like his older brother Peyton did in the beginning of the season Carolina will emberrass them, if not, I think the Giants win by a TD. However considering Burass (as Chase calls him) is out of the equation I think the Panthers will give them a game...too close to decide right now..ill call it before Sunday though. As far as the Steelers and Titans...again, I hate the steelers but ya gotta respect them. Good defense beats good offense, esp in this game. Pitts by 15.
