Matt's First Epic Success (5-1) Week 3 Picks

I don't want to gloat over my stellar week that has brought me to an overall positive record of 7-5.. but I will admit that I totally fucking rule.. and that is enough about that

Now on to week three, a week where perfection is not just a possibility, but a probability.

WEDNESDAY: What's that you say? You want a NBA game that is going to go into OT? One that has some of today's biggest names and players? One that involves Kobe and Chris Paul and Gasol and Phil Jackson? One that is going to be won by the Hornets? well.. no can do, Lakers win this one AT New Orleans in DOUBLE OT 128-126

THURSDAY: You want me to what? Give you ANOTHER big game from the NBA that nobody but me can accurately pick these days? Well, I guess I can give it another shot.. lets see, hmmm.. how about Detroit at Golden State.. what's that? not juicy enough for you? O.K. then Denver at Cleveland with Melo vs. Bron.. not that either?! Fine alright I get it.. you want Dallas at Chicago don't you? Well this won't disappoint.. Bears wi.. I mean Bulls win it 98-86.. DEFENSE

FRIDAY: Oh yeah Friday Night Lights are starting to remember how much they like me.. Regional week in Indiana HS football and my eyes are on Delta.. 12-0 facing the 12-0 Fort Wayne Dwenger Saints.. you know I love my HHC but when it comes to football come on now, you know I hates me some Delta.. Get this done FWD 34-20 in the "eagles nest."

SATURDAY: With only one match-up of two top 25 teams, South Carolina at Florida (la dee da), I had to sift through all the bullshit and blowouts to come to the real game of the weekend.. yeah you guessed it.. Notre Dame taking on the Navy Midshipmen.. After Navy snapped their 40 some odd year losing streak to the Domers last year, one would think over-paid Charlie Weis has a score to settle.. but does he settle it? of course he does, it's fucking Navy.. Clausen impresses in a 42-17 laugher.. sorry America

SUNDAY: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.. AFC South has the unbeaten Tennessee Titans going to Jacksonville for a little rumble in the.. gridiron.. Titans dream of perfection comes to an end somewhere near Jack Del Rio's defense.. just a couple hundred miles away from South Beach.. MIAMI 72' people.

MONDAY: Cleveland takes it to Buffalo in this weeks "who gives a shit bowl".. both teams looked like they might turn it around this season early on, but have since fallen to the back burner in all legitimate playoff discussions.. However I will take Buffalo because they can pound the rock and well, look who they are playing.. It's cold up there too! Bills stumble to 28-25 WIN

Am I sick? or do I really look this good?

Alright...so after America lost in the ONLY game we all get to play in once every 4 years, I'm back...even though my losing streak of picks continued through the election, but for once I'm proud to be on the losing side....

Wed. I have to agree with Mr. Torrence...I wouldn't mind seeing Mr. Bryant upsetting everyone in New Orleans with possibly even a double double and a double u for the outcome. 116-110..by the way what ever happened to defense in the NBA when games where considered high scoring at 60+ and the tallest center was 6'5" at best

Thurs. I'm going to go ahead and give matt a free pass on his picks considering A, I think the NBA is a joke outside of a couple exceptional players/teams, and more importantly there is a HUGE match up in the NFL for the number one spot in the AFC East?! cmon matt, put the NBA loving Kool-aid down and talk about a real game...jets-pats...jets ranked 14th in total O and pats 15th...what a game...however with the injury of Rodney Harrison and Brett Favre's veteran experience vs. Matt Cassels "I wanna be like brady" experience...I don't see the Pats doing anything but play catch up all game long. However if Favre stays consitant with his twice a game turnovers, and randy moss crawls out from the rock hes been hiding under, the pats could pull an upset in a 27-21 win over the jets..if Farve keeps it under control or the pats are unable to capitalize on Farves give aways, i see a little 28-20 W for the Jets at Gillette Stadium.

I don't do Fri's in IN...sorry for you that have no life and do (cough cough Matt)

Sat: First off I want to say lucky you to all you Hoosier football lovers that the Penn State-IU game is at Penn State because after a heartbreaking loss to Iowa, Penn State is looking to beat someone by a large margin..if you're a hoosier fan and plan on watching the game, start drinking now bloomington.
After Texas walks over Kansas and my Gators make SC realize why they're BARELY ranked 25th in the nation, we have the wonderful Charlie Weis's barely over .500 Irish with a pitiful excuse for a QB, who has over twice as many picks as he threw last year, granted he didn't have as many attempts...the Irish better find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow because they're gonna need some luck this weekend. Navy just came off an exciting OT victory compare to ND's shut out loss to Boston College...Who knows, maybe with Weis calling the Offensive plays this week, Clausen wont find a DEFENDER on every throw and the fighting Irish can find a W...but I see Navy bringing ND to a shocking .500 and brings Weis's "grade" to a solid D- with a 20-17 upset..sorry South Bend

Sunday... I've learned (thanks to the Colts) that Sunday is the most unpredictable day of the week! Speaking of which, the horse shoe white and blue better not overlook the team they got LUCKY against last time they met, the Texans...if it weren't for Melvin Bullitt literally "Steeling" the game from the Steelers last week on the final play while the human missile Sanders stood and watched, the Colts season would have been laid to rest...Hopefully they'll use it to light fire that has been absent all season. They'll need it this week.
I don't see many good match ups outside of the Titans and Jags. Neither offense has really impressed the stat books this year however I think it's the Titans 5th ranked D that will help them remain undefeated this week. The Jags running game isn't quite what it used to be and the Titans have only averaged allowing 90 yds per game on the ground. Unless David Garrard can pick apart the Titan defense I see another dissapointer for the Cats at home with a 23-15 loss.

Monday....Brady Queer i mean Quinn and the dirty B's climb out of the dog pound and bark all the way to Buffalo for a sweet Monday Night Football win on primetime over Trent Edwards and the Bills 24-20.

NFL should be played on Sunday.. where real men play games.. and if you want a pick that will actually win go with the bulls, and go with the pats.. show me the money

sorry matt...you can't talk shit about "real men playing games" and then blogg about high school football. Come on man, there are intermural girls flag football games that are more "manly" than high school football lol but hey, guess if you think football should only be on sundays you shouldn't be throwin out picks for monday night football either right? nice call on the double OT haha
