No Media = NoBama

When you're at home watching the local news, ever stop and think about WHY Barack Obama gets so much attention from the media? Ever think about how one candidates path to the white house has had land mines planted every 20 ft, while the other candidate's path has been paved with white gold? Ever stop to think, well what is it that makes the media and celebrities want to support Barack Obama, the number 3 most liberal senator in congress. Ever stop to think how people quickly form together during hurricanes or devastating storms but if John McCain or Sarah Palin were to predict a rain storm on the fourth of July, they would be considered unpatriotic? Or ever wonder, if Barack Obama is the answer, why's he cheating with Acorn? Why won't he talk about his board of education companion Bill Ayers, or why does he say he "didn't know" the things his Reverend was saying as he sat in the pews for 20 YEARS every Sunday. It's amazing...the power that we give to the news..how they can bend and manipulate without a single check...I've stressed over and over about how ridiculously bias the media has been and it's probably getting old. But you, and I, both know that if it WEREN'T for the media and celebrities (whom we ALL ironically look to for our life altering answers) this would not even be a race. To be honest, I'm absolutely amazed in the Republicans for keeping this from being a complete landslide and IF they were to pull out a victory...mark my word it will go down as one of the most remarkable elections in our federal government's history. To not only beat a party or a candidate, but to beat the media, Hollywood, and Bush haters would be incredible.

To many of us this will be our first presidential election. While I've seen, heard, and read SEVERAL people preach about going to vote, they don't stress enough how IMPORTANT it is to become informed first. Don't vote because your friend is voting and you think it's cool. Don't vote because your parents vote. Don't vote because you turned on the view this morning and Whoopie (I'm an ill-informed ignorant individual) Goldberg told you to. Do yourself a favor and become informed before Nov. 4th. And I dont just mean turn on CNN once a week or the local news at night. READ the newspaper, READ magazines, READ online and get a dose of each candidate. Form your OWN opinions, challenge your values with the values of each candidate. Start at square one. If you understand the qualities of both parties, and to be honest just don't agree with McCain, or don't agree with Obama, then understandable, I'll see you at the polls. But if you're someone who wont vote for McCain because he's just too old, or won't vote for Obama because he's half African American, do OUR country a favor and PLEASE PLEASE stay home on election day. You truly don't deserve a say in this presidential election.

Hey, if the media wants to give one side a free pass to the white house, don't make the other side walk bare foot on broken glass. Maybe more people should stand up and call the media out for constantly batting on the left side of the plate and say no, you're wrong. I respect any and all oppositions to the republican party, I truly do. However when the local news is often peoples ONLY form of information, the lead off hitter can be a lefty but the cleanup batter BETTER BE a righty!
