Anyone Seen Gas Prices Recently??

This morning I filled up my car for under 40$ which I haven't been able to do since...God knows when. As a matter of fact gas has been so outrageous at times that I haven't had enough money to know how much it costs to fill up my gas tank. Now if I do recall, the rumor back in June and July was that, gas will be over what? 6 or 7 bucks by fall?? Good call morons....clearly the cost of a barrel of oil is declining. Do I think this means we should nip alternative fuels and offshore drilling in the butt? absolutely not...that would be empirically sensless seeing how regardless what the price of oil is...we're still depending on SOMEONE ELSE overseas who doesn't give a rats a** about us to send us our energy...so while we all have our temporary fix and can stop our bitching and moaning for a few weeks, lets not lose focus of the change we NEED in this country....not the changes we want to make life more convenient...

I wanted to bring this up though not because I'm ecstatic about gas prices or think the economy's fixed however I do want to bring up one point about the economy...if I do recall, a wise man once said "the fundamentals of our economy are strong"...kind of like a house..when there's a storm and a heavy limb crashes down on your roof and there's a hole where water starts to poor in, do you call the local demolition company and ask them to wipe out your house?? well maybe if you have the money to do so and start over but my guess is most of us would patch the hole and make it stronger so the next branch that falls doesn't do the same kind of damage...if the foundation, pipes, electricity, walls, and floors are still good, why say that the whole house is now a piece of garbage because of ONE hole?? .now let me ask YOU something.....if our foundation of our economy was BIT strong, would we be able to afford lowering gas prices in a bad financial time like this?? if our foundation was NOT strong, shouldn't we be paying at least 5 or 6 dollars a gallon right now and all driving mopeds or even riding bikes....well guess what, we're not. Just on my way home last night I counted 13 SUV's that I passed....and let me tell you, the drive is short. We continue to live our normal lives, with our ridiculous luxuries that the SAME economy that "sucks so bad" gave us the opportunity to have in the first place..so next time you want to go criticizing a man who's been around a HELL of a lot longer than you and all the other "community organizers" in the world, think twice about how bad you TRULY have it...
