12 Year Old Girl Scrutinized

A seventh grader from New Smyrna Beach Middle School was called racist by her friends and classmates for wearing this t-shirt to school.
Ashleigh Jones decided independently that she wanted to become involved in this political election and even volunteered at Republican Election Headquarters in Volusia County, FL. The shirt was given to Ashleigh by volunteers as a gift. Ashleigh checked the school handbook very carefully to see if apparel like this was "accepted" by school officials. There was no rule against it however her parents questioned her several times if she was sure she wanted to wear it to school. Ashleigh said “Some of the students were calling me racist because I was Caucasian." “I wanted the Caucasian man to win. And I told them that’s not true. It’s my freedom of speech, it’s my opinion.”
Ashleigh's parents said they weren't mad at the schools but disappointed. Both Ashleigh's mother and father called the school to talk with the principal to let them know what action was going on in the hallways of New Smyrna Beach Middle School. Neither parent received a call back.
On AM talk radio today, Ashleigh and her parents were interviewed. Ashleigh says these untrue comments have not dampered her spirit or her opinions at all. She plans on wearing the t-shirt as much as she can between now and Nov. 4th.
I think it's amazing that a 12 year old girl has more independence and self wisdom than many 19, 20, or 21 year olds I know today. It's a shame that clearly, parents of OTHER children have brainwashed their children into believing what is right and wrong rather than let them form their own opinions. To have this kind of slander in the seventh grade is remarkable and speaks volumes for the lack of parental discipline in the households of these children. How sad....just ANOTHER example of the far left continuing their use of classless excuses to win over the votes of Americans in FL while trying to make the "right" feel guilty.
